IWTL How to become a quieter, more calm person.

If you want to control your impulses, think before you speak. Think of quality vs. quantity. Cut the small talk, and embrace the silence. So when you do need to talk, people will pay attention.

And when it comes to calming down, think about a switch in your brain for emotions. Legitimately try to imagine turning off a switch for humanity, and take note of what happens. What do you think makes you human?

Are you a robot with tunnel vision? Just doing task you assigned yourself?

Do you shut down physically? Are you just laying there numb to your existence?

Are you emotionless? Cold? A loss of will? Well you could say that it would calm you down a little bit too right?

And then turning it back on, do you take your emotions as seriously now? Do you let them pull you as much as before?

So you could practice this switch, and study what pulls you around mentally. Switch it off in the middle of when you're doing something. So you know how it drags you a certain way.

Then you'll know where you need to be, to be calm. And you'll have a better understanding on how to get there.
