JUST GO TO ANOTHER BAKERY!

Yeah, but the reason I believe it's not analogous is because, by force-feeding a Jew pork, you are forcing THEM to do the actual act which they believe is against God's law. The Christian bakers are not being forced to perform a gay marriage ceremony, or be in a gay marriage. All they have to do is bake a cake. Throw together some eggs, flour, milk, frosting and they never have to see those awful nasty gays ever again. That's their job. But instead, they decided to force their bigoted opinions about sexuality onto a couple who simply wanted to support their business, and actively discriminated against them.

I've got plenty of family members who, given the chance, would LOVE to be able to discriminate against blacks, Muslims, gays and any other sort of minority due to 'religious' reasons--which, as you mentioned earlier, may not be biblical, but that's what they vehemently believe, so there's no changing their mind and it's not debatable. It's illegal for them to do that, though, and I'm glad. I honestly don't care what happens to people who run businesses like those bakers, because I think discrimination is disgusting, and I think all people should be protected from such discrimination--not just gays. Nobody should ever be turned away because of their race, religion, sex, age, sexuality or what-have-you. Just my opinion. You should not be allowed to turn away a customer for any reason other than disorderly conduct or other kind of similar problematic behaviors.

To me, the whole issue comes down to, where do we draw the line for 'religious freedom' and what you can, and can't, do because of it? Because you can take that and run into some far-off, scary places. Also, I think that this country is founded on religious freedom, and so Christian morality should really not be what dictates our laws anymore... non-religious and non-Christian people should not have to dance around their constant demands. You don't see many other religious factions who feel entitled to pull this kind of shit. They just deal with it, go home, and pray about it in their personal time. Which is what religion should be. Keep it out of the workplace... this is a complex society with a lot of different cultures, beliefs, and lifestyles. You kind of have to be tolerant for the whole thing to run smoothly, IMO.
