I just had a breakdown in the middle of the road because my bus drove past me

Yes, well I can remember having a couple of days like yours in the past...

In my case I was lucky enough to actually be in my car (after having spent a decade of taking the bus and subway) so I was able to surprise myself in my car by simply letting loose and just screaming really really loudly in frustration!

Felt much better afterwards!

It was pretty much the same scenario as you: a whole bunch of little errors, and then traffic was keeping me from getting to an extremely important interview... or a meeting with the big boss...

In your case you did the EXACT same thing I did, just expressed slightly differently when you cried after that bus passed by. Since you weren't in a car, you couldn't exactly start screaming in public, so it had to come out some other way.

But ya, that was a friggin bad day you had, as you described.

As for malignant narcissists that sometimes troll the subreddits and target people on their bad days, specifically looking to make people feel bad, not much can be done about those jerk offs. They're relentless and very good and well practiced at what they do: which is enjoying making people feel bad, and as you said: kicking them while they are down.

And the key point about their psychological makeup: they actually enjoy doing that to other people. They have very low empathy.

I've spoken with a couple of people that do podcasts and youtube shows, and that was what shocked them the most as their channels became more popular: the number of angry/hate messages they would get, from people clearly trying to purposely make them feel bad.

Thus, those jerks are a reality of the Internet: only thing you can do is just shrug, ignore them, and know that it's actually not personal (even they're good at making it feel personal!). It's not personal in the sense that they target everyone with their hate and kicking. To them your just another random target they encounter, before moving on to their next target.
