Just how helpful are those “don’t get raped” tips women are fed their whole lives?

Indeed. Never in my life have I ever heard ANY person saying that rape is great and we should have more of it. Literally 100% of people say that rape is a horrible thing that must be eradicated, and I agree, of course. Yet OP claims that society is somehow condoning and defending rape. Where?!

This is simply ridiculous. In a genuine rape culture we would not even be discussing the topic. The fact that we can talk about it freely all day every day clearly shows that there is no pervasive rape-supporting culture to prevent us from discussing the topic. Let's use our brains, people...

Nobody is supporting or defending rape. Yet you still claim that they are. Based on what? Really, how can you close your eyes to every single person sharing the typical common societal understanding that rape is a horrible crime?

I have literally never heard anyone in my life say that rape is good. It is a definite anti-rape culture, everything points in the direction of investing ever growing amounts of attention, time, effort and funding into the eradication of rape. A true rape culture would never allow the problem to be even considered for a second.

Look around you. The anti-rape and anti-domestic violence posters plastered everywhere in the big city. Look at the news - every day there is a new news story about rape and how horrible it is. Look at all the last made specifically to combat rape. Look at all the organizations who are dedicated to this problem exclusively. To claim that somehow our culture is blind to rape and supports it is simply dishonest. You know full well that everyone is pretty invested in resolving this issue. Why do you pretend otherwise?
