It's a shooting game first, not an unlock simulator.

Except that's exactly what Apex legend is, and unlock simulator. You play for 20 minutes max per round to unlock stuff in the battle pass, skins are available in the store, and there's a quest where you unlock comic pages and loot ticks and other things.

I play Hell Let Loose, there is no collecting in that game, just teamwork. I'm currently playing The telltale Walking Dead series, there is no collecting in that game.

Mindlessly shooting at stuff in a game does not intrigue me, if I am playing towards a goal or something such as unlocking items then there's a reason to grind.

Why do you think that gambling exists, why do you think that the video game term grinding exists, your logic is just so flawed.
