This is going to be a long explanation so sit back.

A lot of things really, compared to the past some may argue that the devs seem to be less caring about their game. Currently they’re not transparent about what exactly their doing and how they’re trying to improve the game which irritates people. If they do give any information out it’s super vague, like that graph they posted on twitter recently where it shows a line going up but no Y axis.

Another point people often point out is, although updates and new gameplay content isn’t consistent, monetization is absolutely consistent. There’s always some new event where they have a few skins and some heirloom or just a collection event. Which leads me to another issue, the quality of skins. Don’t get me wrong, some of the skins Apex release are super nice but that’s often a shiny penny in a drawer full of nasty dull ones. Like the prowler, I can’t even catch up with how many color variants it has of that one Egyptian skin at this point.

Technician issues with seem to be the biggest is servers and audio. People have been complaining about the audio since season 1 and every time the devs say they’ve fixed it people still have issues. In regards to the server, every time there’s a decently sized update with new content (new game mode, new made, new season) it seems to break for the first day for a decent amount of people. These technical issues irritate people due to the fact apex in its lifetime has made upwards of 1 Billion dollars in revenue yet not a spec of that revenue seems to be put into the improvement of this game (more likely going to EA CEO’s pocket).
