Parents should give every opportunity for their children to be successful so they can take care of them when they are old.

My parents broke their backs raising me and my brother and giving us many opportunities to succeed in life. Now that we're independent and doing well for ourselves, they retired from their jobs.

Now instead of them just living off of retirement, they're now taking vacation trips around the world and spending time enjoying retirement because of the extra money we have as a whole family because they put us in a position of success.

I don't mind spending money on my parents who spent all their money and power raising me and putting me through school. I hope my future children will think of me in the same way. But cultural differences and all that.
