The Broken Earth Series is a trilogy of sci/fi fantasy that is so so good. Quite tragic but the world building and characters are amazing and it’s so unique. Not traditional “middle ages elves and goblins” kinda fantasy at all
A really weird but super unique, one of a kind, nothing else like it out there, let’s call it “modern fantasy” The Library on Mount Char. Can’t say anything more without ruining it
Another unique one is a short novella called This is How You Lose the Time War. Basically a love story of two beings from two different species (who are at war) who travel back and forth through them over idk millions of years writing to each other. Written more like poetry
Children of Time. is a cool take on evolution and intelligence and the future of humanity. Again a story told over millions of years. Also a trilogy but only read the first so far.
Currently reading A Memory Called Empire. Space politics in quite an elaborate future setting. So far so good
