Leaving biglaw after a year in Patents

I'd say most people are in the Office about 9-7 - a lot of them work on Sunday to make up time. It comes out to about 38 hours billed a week, or 7.6 a day. Figure if you have a lot of matters and substantive work - no doc review - (at least looking at myself and talking to a bunch of other first years I know), you'll usually spend about 10-11 hours to bill 8.

If, like many firms you need more than the 1900 minimum to be competitive it gets a lot worse very fast.

In law school my dating life was ridiculous (like, dating everyone and anyone), here it has slowed to a crawl because while I have time for dates, I don't have time to meet people. I don't see family hardly at all, but I live away from them.
