Legal Inquiry

Ok so if the County Detective is the Lead Investigator on the individuals case, and he was paid by the supposed "victim" to track down the supposed "suspect", how could that be legal in theory?

That means your cases are more likely to be solved if you are willing to personally pay the detective that is working on your case to privately investigate the individual you filed the complaint against?

My apologies as well I thought their was a warrant on the individual, there was not a warrant. Just so happens that he was invited to a family reunion in another state. In order to get to that state he would have had to pass through the State of Illinois to get to his destination without a ton of time.

The victim knowing he was headed to this family reunion, then decided to take a weekend vacation within the same area as the family reunion, so when the suspect entered into the area for his family reunion the suspect was then in clear violation of the restraining order the victim had against the suspect. Now the suspect unknowingly was in violation of the restraining order because the suspect did not know the victim was in the area at the time.

However the victim, used the County Detective to follow the suspect, so when the suspect passed through the State that the restraining order had jurisdiction in, the suspect was arrested.

Now I am in all honesty none of these people, these are individuals that I know. I just don't understand how that could be legal, they utilized the restraining order and his family reunion to set the suspect up in order to get the victim the money from the civil case.

I am not saying I support the victim, nor do I support the victim or the detective. I just don't understand the legalities of how this could be legal to do because individuals would then personally pay the lead detectives on their case. So if your willing to pay money to have your case completed, your case then can take a higher volume of interest or time, because that lead detective is personally profiting off solving the "civil" matter.

So now how does that make it legal. If you personally were following someone in you own time, they can file harassment charges, stalking as well as an EOP if you notice and can prove it.
