Loot from 530,000 wrath runes and an amateur cameraman

An update "improving" the game isn't a blanket thing. For almost any content update, there'll be people who it improves the game for, and people who it stains the game for, and both are valid opinions to have. Tunnelvisioning too far down one end leads to RS3 where they're playing loot treadmill and basically all of skilling and pre-max content is dead and doesn't matter, too far down the other leads to RSC full of RSI inducing mechanics that take forever to get through, so there's a lot to be learned from the perspectives of all kinds of players and past events from the main game.

well said. i completely agree with the notion that a balance is required to uphold the relevance of game content. but theres a difference between "vote no to all new content to preserve 2007scape" and the insightful response you provide here. vote in regards to what the updates bring, not to ignorantly deny change. in this thread, people were discussing runecrafting xp/hr and how the rate is unreasonably low. im not saying that you cant hold a reasonable opinion if it goes against the consensus, but if youre going to argue that the xp rates shouldnt change because

The game would be terrible if some people had to put in no time and other players had to put in a lot of time to achieve the same thing.

and completely dismiss everyone else, then thats being unreasonable.
