Low-fat diet advice one of the biggest blunders in modern medicine, says charity

oh thank you so much. I'm so glad someone here said this. especially about oils. i thought i was going to go crazy with what people have to say about nutrition. the fact is that humans are not meant to ingest meat. it is a foreign substance to the body. like a good detective the "big picture" finally clicked for me and I've been eating this way for 8 or 9 months. that is the way to convince people more than animal cruelty or money. show them how it helps their health and show them how meat consumption is abnormal for humans.

atherosclerosis does not exist in meat eating animals even if you forcibly inject them with cholesterol. the fact it does for us means we aren't meant to eat it. I can't believe people think humans are meant to eat meat. not only that but they act so condescending about it like it's some holy grail. once I got off meat it's like cigarettes. I see it for the bad habit it really was and I have zero desire to poison myself again.

we have empathic and disgust processes that are not innate in carnivores. we have stumpy legs (and teeth) meant for long foraging walks to gather berries and nuts. that predators don't have. I think it was a video on nutrition facts that said fiber may be the most important macronutrient. then you get leolle demonizing fiber... by using fiber pills as an example. people need to make a distinction between refined white carbs/fructose and whole food. I get probably 100 grams of sugar from whole fruit (I have gone up to 200 with no ill effects. there have been studies where they did this too) and about 100 grams of fiber a day. but if you're clogged up with animal fat you'll see even fruit get demonized. our digestive systems are that of an herbivore. like a zebra.

I've been eating this way for 8 or 9 months and my cholesterol is shockingly low. like 67mg/dl low. even the cholesterol considered healthy by American doctors is high because it's based on a standard American diet. same with bmi. you have to understand how insanely low my body fat is. (8-10% without trying and without struggle.) and how freakishly light my intestines feel. living without the "dead weight" meat produces... which was totally a novel sensation to me. (the transition period was a little bumpy though)

at the same time I don't think you need to go crazy and eat 30 bananas a day and eat everything raw. we grew big brains from eating cooked starchy tubers. I usually mix my greens with cooked and raw. I'll eat cooked broccoli/kale with raw cress or radish to get the anti cancer benefits.

sorry if this post seems gushing. you were way more polite and less provocative than me. which you have to be when representing this diet. the people in the comments acting pompous about meat set me off. I guess it's not their fault. I used to think it too. but even when I ate meat I never had a freaking ego trip about it.

keto/paleo diets are harmful and tantamount to starvation/poison.
