i’m so tired and burnt out

I feel this in my bones bruh. I’m a non-trad so I am taking classes, working FT and have a kid. So I haven’t had a day off in almost 4 years or even an evening to myself. Everything is studying all the time. Plus on top of that I have to get shadowing hours and volunteer hours and clinical hours. Not fun because it means literally taking food out of my kid’s mouth to do. Had an adviser ask “can’t you just quit your job”. NO MAN I CANT JUST QUIT MY JOB I also can’t take a massive massive pay cut to work as an ED Tech or something.

It’s so goddamn exhausting and it’s just for the SHOT at applying. I think that’s what is most exhausting about it all is you do all this and the whole time watch people post Sankeys like “3.99 GPA, 521 MCAT 1000 hours clinical 500 hours research, my dad is chair of surgery and my mom is chair of neurosurgery. Applied 70 schools only got in 1” and you just wanna rage quit everything.

Instead just gotta suck it up and keep going. Hang in there dude.
