The damn process is paved in money and time, and I don't have either

bruh same. I am sorry you are physically struggling.

Literally was listening to the podcast where a guy was saying how he overcame a low gpa. He said anyone can do it! I was inspired until I heard that his dad paid for SMP and for his living, MCAT tutoring and resources and helped with NIH internship. Don't claim anyone can do it if you are that privileged. There is nothing wrong with people having resources and means for it, just don't become a med influencer saying that anyone can do it!

I am from low income immigrant family and had to work to afford everything since I was 17. I can't afford an SMP for my GPA improvement nor can I afford to take off work to study for MCAT. I am doing my best but it is so hard sometimes to not compare yourself when you realize how little you have and you are in the same application pool.
