School list help/unbalanced MCAT

Wow, what a unique angle! I’m really impressed, hope this narrative works in your favor this upcoming cycle.

Your MCAT is fine, as long as you aren’t <125 in any sections I won’t worry.

If you’re comfortable, I know at my current matriculating school, there is a ton of support for those who identify as LGBTQ+! It’s worth a mention.

I’m not worried about your research hours. They are concisely in order with your angle and will be something that’s very niche.

However, I am a bit worried about your clinical work. While everything you listed is cool and all, those are some pretty low hours with very minimal hands on patient interaction.

Additionally, your shadowing is super vague. Shadowing pharmacists would be great if you were applying to become a pharmacist. Maybe this is just due to miscommunication, but you really need dedicated time with a DO/MD to constitute what many schools would consider as shadowing.

All that said, your list looks decent to me at first glance. Obviously don’t count on places like Rosalind, Boston, George Washington, etc due to the super low yield and number of applications.

Good luck this coming cycle! Please remember, apply and have all material in to schools as soon as humanly possible. Every day counts!

P.S. Sorry this turned into a mini app review, just thought it should be mentioned.
