It was through my parents that I was introduced to medicine. I explored some other things during college, but I never found anything that I felt I could love as much. I feel as if the opportunities that medicine offers to conduct science and help people are unlike any other profession. In the end, this is something I pursue out of passion. There will certainly be many obstacles, but I don’t think they are sufficient to deter me from walking this path. I do not mind if this endeavor will be a thankless one. I expect nothing from the world. I merely wish to do something I strongly believe I will love and which others may derive happiness from as well.
