From reading your comments, you seem to feel slighted by the reorg which isn't the attitude to have. Sounds like they started it before you actually started working so you shouldn't take it personal. Not sure why you think the possibility of moving up was taken away on your first day.

This is due to, when I was given the offer and discussed the possibility of career advancement, I was told that at some point in the future leads would be chosen for a few teams. Then, it was done before I arrived, even though I was told that as a second engineer on a team, I'd be in consideration as well. My lead has only been here a month longer than I have.

Because of this, I can't move up now unless someone quits, and wasn't given the opportunity laid out when they were trying to get me to sign on to the company. I was told several thinks that turned out to be completely false when they had the offer in front of me.

This isn't a personal thing, it's something that was dangled in front of me to get me to sign, it seems, and wasn't even a possibility by the time I started 2 weeks later.
