I've seen grow kits you can order online, if you're willing to put in the extra effort and wait a few weeks . Since the mycelium / colonized substrate doesnt contain pscilocybin, I believe they are technically legal to possess. Up until the point they start to produce actual mushrooms. Not a lawyer though.

(Personally I have never taken them and I'm waiting until they are inevitably legalized in the next 5-10 years. I think they've already been proven too medically useful not to be. I just want one hallucinagenic experience before I die and I can wait for it, although if I can get it earlier and it cures my depression or gives me a glimpse of spiritual enlightenment, that's a bonus.)
