I don't think it's sociopathy, I think alot of these people have just been hurt in some way in life and are angry inside and see this as okay as a result of their anger driven mindset, and in my eyes I think we should have some sort of compassion for that because it's truely not personal. And being mean and hurtful because they don't agree is only exasperating this mindset. Personally I know I can't change peoples opinions that are driven by emotion immediately and insulting them for it will only drive them farther away, but what you can do is politely and calmly plant your seed of opinion and just hope for the best. Looking at comment sections these days makes me so sad, such animosity in the world, we need to take responsibility for our role of compassion in life, and stop thinking just because we disagree that we need to automatically hate and try to hurt each other.
