Manual car drivers with massive experience, what are your secret tips for never stalling?

Pay attention to the revs. Get to know the sounds and the feel of the engine (in your hands on the steering wheel, through your body in the driver’s seat and most notably, through your toes in the pedals) and subsequently where you need to change and/or engage particular gears.

I’m going to sound like a mad hippie, here but…whatevs.

Driving a manual car is an intuitive exercise. It’s a dance, there is a rhythm to it. The engine plays the music, the revs are the chord changes.

Spend the time learning how your car likes to dance, and follow its lead.

My dad used to race cars once upon a time, and this is how he taught my brothers and I to approach it.
