So I’m not 100% positive about this, but Lincoln doesn’t have a building inspector from what I understand. The town has SIGNIFICANT review and oversight over the initial plan of the house to make sure things like water runoff are handled properly, but as for the building itself, I don’t believe they inspect the construction process. I base this off: I) what people at the town offices told me when I did recent renovations of a property in Lincoln, and II) what several contractors have told me. Before the recent renovations I did I called the town and asked if I needed a permit and they said I only needed a permit if I was adding more bathrooms, bedrooms, or sinks to the house. Most of this was because the town includes public water as part of your taxes and they need to up your taxes if you have more bedrooms or faucets using water.
