I don't think he will be coming back. I would take this time and mourn those two embryos. Figure out what your life is going to look like going forward...and heal. And while once incident doesn't make you a violent person overall, it's perfectly within his right to say there's no coming back from it.

However - is there no possibility for you to retrieve more eggs and use a sperm donor if having biological kids is that important? Because honestly, I don't think YOU should want to be tied to this man or his family either if he has such a dangerous codependency (and lack of real empathy and support for you as getting a restraining order and kicking you out so swiftly you had to leave your cats shows).
