me irl

I love Linux and I can't help but make a comment about this post. Years ago I took a job doing something completely different than IT but kinda related. Still technology...but before that I was kinda like that guy you knew who could always fix your problems. I was actually interested in figuring it out. Now I don't give a shit about your problems. Don't get me wrong, I might know the answer, but only if I've recently had the same problem or was somehow otherwise interested in learning about it. I only keep up on things that affect me personally. I'm kind of a first adopter when it comes to technology so I've probably figured out what's wrong with any given device or machine I own or use. I might be able to help you solve a problem you're having with the same device or machine. Otherwise I don't really care.
