He doesn't need to be completely off TV for any length of time. He just needs to be made to look human. That is, he needs to lose a main event level feud to a heel (that is being cheered & is not Triple H) cleanly. And not 50/50 booking. Just lose, at least 2 times, to a strong heel. Styles right now would be perfect if they did not have the brand split, or a strong heel Rollins would have been if he wasn't turned. Having him lose to Owens twice wouldn't really work right now because they've booked Owens as a weak champion so going from weak champion to beating Reigns clean multiple times would seem weird. Maybe just book Reigns/Balor when he returns and have Balor do it without either being a true heel. But just make Reigns look human against someone else that is a full-time regular in a big feud. Then, from there, have him continue on as US champion in more 50/50 type booking in the upper mid-card role and the superman stuff will slowly fade. Big feud to break the mystic, then on-going human booking to make the fans forget the mystic happened.
