Men, you ever had a serious argument with another male friend? Have you guys made up yet (and how?) or not?

Yeah. There's one friend I have run-ins with about once a year.

We have wildly different communication styles - miscommunications, mistakes and misunderstings happen and he tends to take them as slights against his person. The last time he didn't talk to me for three months because he thought I was trying to exclude him from our circle of friends - I wasn't, though I understand why he thought so.

He was the one who approached me again. We had a bried talk and things are back to normal on the surface. Still - I don't consider him a close friend anymore. He felt slighted and lashed out, not questioning one second whether I would actually instigate behind his back after more than a decade of friendship. He ignored all my attempts and offers to talk about things calmly and then expected an apology. That's terrible conflict management.
