I misinterpreted someone’s comment and they looked through my Reddit history and got upset that I apparently use autism as my identity, I guess because I post and comment a lot in autism related subs.

So strange to get upset about someone else's self-identifier...

I do not think Greta is being exploited, what she is, is being treated like garbage, often by adults. And I honestly don't think it's because she's autistic, I think it's because she is a teen girl in the public eye trying to make change. That's like, one of the top most hated types of people by bigots.

However I imagine, that dealing with the amount of backlash and creepy comments she gets on a regular basis may be more difficult for her as an autistic person, especially since she faced really bad bullying pre-becoming a public figure. Maybe she doesn't feel that way, but personally I think my autism would make all of that even harder to deal with.

I'm glad Greta is pushing forward though, despite everything. I think she's very cool, and I was so happy when I heard she was autistic. We get to claim Greta Thunberg, yay!
