Models of this subreddit, how did you start your career?

I did a bit of part time modelling during my gap year, it helped a little bit, but it can be quite tiring

Google modelling jobs in your area or if you know a friend who is a model then ask him/her.

When you find one that seems promising, contact them, see where they are and whether they really are a legit modelling agency or a scam

Afterwards, when they ask you for CV and several photos, you send those. They'll do a small interview, which is basically where to set boundaries. they'll give you a contract to sign, and make sure you read EVERYTHING, pay, what to do with photos, etc. there are some things that you might not be okay with and that's fine. Do that. Then a few things here and there

Now keep in mind you don't need to be a hotass mofo in order to be a model, sometimes they might just put you on small section on a catalogue to display the product, not so much you.

The job itself is shit honestly, there's a person screaming at you constantly while the photos are being taken, might stop the whole taking pictures thing and then fix your stance/where your arms are/etc. Just really benign shit honestly, fucking hated that guy with passion. the make up girl is pretty sweet though, now that I think about it I should've asked her out.

Being fit would be nice, they might pay you more to take photos shirtless, which I did

And boy do they Photoshop a LOT of features. To me they defined my jawline, they gave me a better nose, somehow gave me a better face? Thinned it I think. I don't know, the features I mentioned were the most obvious when compared to real life me. It might actually demotivate you, but I figured that if they picked me to model then I look good enough so whatever.

So yeah that's that I guess. Keep in mind there's plenty details that I left out but then again that was 2 years ago, and things might be different in your country due to different rules and regulations and such, in my case it was pretty lax.
