‘Moon Knight’ Director Mohamed Diab on His Favorite Scene That Was Nearly Cut - The filmmaker fought for a standout moment that showcases the vulnerability Oscar Isaac brings to his role: "It's such a black comedy kind of moment, but it's the moment that the audience can connect to."

Like what? The overly goofy Steven? The over used CGI and slapstick? What about the part where his suit is no longer a physical thing and just lamely materializes over him. Moon Knight is at its best when it goes into Marc and his psyche, this has one scene that went anything past surface level and going by how this is Marvel, I doubt we will get much more then that.

Moon Knight is a dark character, having the tone be anything less then Daredevil is a disservice to his character. Having a little bit of blood on the ground doesn’t make the tone right, not when you have a shitty car chase with “muh funny music” and Steven laughably going with the flow. I wouldn’t mind if Steven had a goofball tone when he’s the lead, it’s not accurate but whatever. But we both know that this is Marvel and they are allergic to emotional honesty and real character drama.

The show could end up turning really good if Marc becomes the main personality and the tone turns a leaf, but right now this is a neutered adaptation of the character.
