With all the talk about quantity vs quality. I watched Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero today. And I really do think the franchise right now is really the definition of less is more.

They release one Manga chapter a month and we've gotten two movies since the anime ended. Now part of this strategy is to build up enough content for them to revive the anime that can run for a long time. They have content to adapt basically.

That's my understanding. They have a whole department in Toei that's dedicated to the longevity of the franchise. The author is training a young protege to take over the franchise as it's creative.

But it still kinda feels special when you get to go to that world and see those characters when they do an animation.
