Most terrifying control.....

That doesn't bother me as much if only because the default options in most shooters are what nearly everyone uses, and if they low/raise their sensitivities it's easy to adjust since it's just one thing.

I'm not really worried about muscle memory, I find it easy to adapt to new settings... The question is: What setting is going to make my aim the best? What mouse is going to make me feel most natural?

It's nice to know everyone is on the same basic playing field on console. Everyone is fighting the same control scheme.

PC is more difficult. PC, as a platform, can almost be considered pay to win. Have a better GPU/CPU? That extra fps you're rendering can make all the difference. Better mouse? You land more hits. Better monitor? That 144hz refresh rate makes quite the difference.

For me, at least, it distracts me from the game. The hobby stops being about gaming, because I stop gaming. I keep telling myself "I'll play these cool games when my setup is PERFECT!" but I never get to perfect. So I end up buying all these games I never play.

With console you just get to play. It's nice.
