Mueller Report Exceeds 300 Pages, Raising Questions About Four-Page Summary

The investigation was specifically targetting Russian meddling, it's titled "Report on the investigation into Russian Interference in the 2016 presidential election".

Of Barrs 4 page summary, details of Russian Interference is given half a page. His first mention of the report is about it targetting Trump and his campaign. Even though he later clarifies the first part of Muellers report is dealing with Russian interference, what they did, and if any americans including those associated with trump were involved. The second part being about obstruction, makes sense given Trumps own actions are what got Mueller involved in the first place.

I understand the public pressure surrounding the report in regards to trump's campaign. But Barrs answer given the circumstances come across as heavily politicized. Even in his half page about Russia's actions, he takes an opportunity to defend trump. His job was to summarise the report and let congress do their job.

Even Barr recognizes the report shows Russia did interfere with the election. And yet there has been no official response or changes as a result. Nothing to stop it from happening again, or escalating in future. It seems highly inappropriate this administration is more concerened with why the investigation happened. And potentially starting their own investigations into their political rivals.

The message we are being given is meddling in foreign elections, and obstructing investigations is okay, as long as your efforts are successful.
