My [28f] boyfriend [30m] is extremely jealous of my relationship with his dogs and it’s starting to cause actual problems in our relationship.

Honestly, I have no idea what he would do without me. He’s home with them every day, and he takes little breaks to play with them/ give attention, but it’s nowhere near what I’m able to do when I’m here. They’re well cared for dogs, don’t get me wrong. They’re not neglected by any means, but it’s essentially when I’m here they’re spoiled with attention.

Regarding children, that won’t ever be an issue, because we’re both ChildFree, but it’s caused me a lot of concern. I’m not worried about how he’s treating Dover when I’m not here.

Honestly I think his feelings are immensely hurt. He essentially saved all three (rescues) and now they prefer me. I just don’t know how to help him overcome this sort of insecurity. It’s not anything I’m trying to do on purpose, it’s just happening because of our dynamic. Do you have any suggestions on how I can help him overcome this hurtful jealousy?
