Stick to truth instead. Doing what you believe is right is always - no matter what your mom tells you - the right thing to do.

Even if it entails killing someone. If you have doubts about that though, which some would argue is normal, you may examine your motivations and draw a different conclusion. But do not hold yourself back from killing someone merely because someone says it's generally a bad idea. That only leads to unnecessary problems. Morality, too, is a social construct. It's ego.
