Yes, the Rom Hack has a huge role and that's why I don't fully charge you (or rather what you represent) but it doesn't explain everything.

I don't feel shame because of the Rom Hack, something which doesn't depend on us. I grumble, I'm sad of the wasted potential but it doesn't hit me.

However, when I watch some of our actions, some of the attitudes in the Chat and in the sub, it just gives me the envy to get out or at least to stop inputting. You know I've followed TPP since Red and I've had many bitter moments (Crystal and Firered mainly) : in these moments, I don't feel I'm a part of the community anymore.

When I saw the majority was ready to stall 24 hours to get Democracy in order to make a Party switch (you know I never accepted the Zapdos switch), I just felt shame. What's the point of going on if you're so distant from the other players, if what you see as our culture means nothing for them ? That's a part of my story but some people feel the same about other points and just leave because they no longer "have the spark".

We spent a week to beat Emerald E4 (what about Mauville ?), we spent a lot of time in Red doing nearly nothing (ledges, trees, Rocket Hideout, Ghost Tower, "wow I woke up and we are still doing the same thing") but people sticked because they felt they "belonged" to the stream. Yes, many people would have left had we spent a week or more in the Rocket Hideout back then but I'm convinced they would have come back for the rest of the run. If you are tired of inputting, at least you can keep checking the Live Updaters or the sub. You never stop caring. However, when you're deceived by the community, you know the situation won't change and you don't come back, you don't even bother checking because you already know the end of the story.

I'm ready to have long runs because we go in circles for days or because we can't beat a champion (unless the difficulty is absurdly increased) or because we need to grind a lot, I'm not ready to have long runs because we get stuck in an island for one day to wait for Democracy. There's the question of time but there's also the question of actions and the latter deeply hurt.

And the Rom Hack also increases the behaviors I criticize so yeah, I can't fully charge you nor the community. Even without these behaviors, there would be a big problem -but at least it wouldn't feel like a treason.
