Sorry to step in between the 2 of you in this debate, but I feel all this is coming from the core of "TPP Red Pride" to the highest extent to most people. To sum it up short quick and easy, to many people was expecting this to be Red 2 from the very beginning. By that I mean picking the Helix fossil, praise Anarchy, and all that other stuff. Hoping that's what everyone wants to see again.
When we picked the Dome Fossil, I've seen people rage quit the run. I even saw FaithfulForce packed his bags and left for like 4-7 days in the chat. Then now when it came to Democracy usage, that's a result of Helix Anarchy Pride (AKA love of Start9 riots, a thing in TPP Red) at it's finest so high, people will either rage quit, bash at people, or even stop playing TPP all together just because of one game. Just for one little small thing and we can go back to the mode we always do. It's seriously no big deal. Though I have no right to speak cause I wasn't there for TPP Red, however people from that time need to realize that this is a new open age for TPP. This isn't about the Helix, this isn't about repeating old events (which apparently that's what we've been doing 50% of this run like TPP plays a TPP Red tourist attraction). To prove that, we've tried our best to not even make this run about the pantheons and yet Dome somehow, some way, got attention enough to be the theme of a Dome to Helix age (rather than Abe being a kid addicted to the town map which died down. Even when seeing the Town Map it's not suited anymore). In a way you say they stick cause they "belong in the stream", but which era of the stream we're talking about? If it's red, it's highly going to be the setting you see now. Where Anarchy Reigns and Democracy is trash. If it's Crystal, it's to kill out all feels of Red's instinct, Emerald is in between. It's all about attitude no matter what we do. Just settings we need to adjust each run so people are going to feel that "this isn't like before" vibe. Especailly for the Red & Crystal followers (that part hard to explain tho. Yet at the same time I can't really blame them. It's the thing about that run that got them to love TPP and love to stick with it).
As far as this ROM hack goes, this is exactly Black 1 run, only with Blaze Black 2 difficulties on a negative ending. No one mostly care about this run at this point and just want to get it over with. The only difference is we love our trainer and some of our teams through out the run unlike jimmy & his crew (which we finally cared about during the ending of the run). Black 1 had tons of team wipes that got all of us sick of it to care. This run is no different. We cleaned out our teams multiple times, now the views dropped cause of that. I don't think it mainly involved the chat leaders being behind it. Although I agree on that optimization part of this run with the Kadabra. I never liked that and it did kind of wipe the spark from this run for me. However we still manage to make it work in a tiny way. People were to focused on the E4 when we got the first badge and that seriously got on my nerves to no ends. I don't like when the chat gets like that either.
Then when it comes to the chat, I don't have anything to disagree with much. All I said was already said previous post ago on who the chat became super lazy about stuff and gotten really rude about everything to even look at the chat for long (not all of the people tho). This isn't the chat I remember Emerald through OR where I can goof off and joke with the others while playing the game happily. It turned to a cesspool of "HEHE I'MA TROLL" and "I DONT AGREE WITH YOU SO F**K YOU LMAO". They act like they want to battle with each other for no reason. When it comes to chat leaders I kind of already said something about that here in this topic to explain. Not to mention everyone here has a opinion on chat leaders too. So I got nothing to debate on that. They do have their points on each side. Idk, I guess it's just me in general I wasn't in TPP Red or Crystal to really care about this Helix and Anarchy stuff to hate and bash people on even little tiny uses of democracy I see people doing around here to call it "abuse". I just have fun with whatever as long something is done. -shrugs-
