You absolutely would not be forgotten. Someone in my family left us like this. It was over 12 years ago now and it has ripped a path of devastation through many people’s lives. I went to her son’s wedding a few weeks ago, I spent the entire night being waylaid by lovely folk both young and old who told me how much they loved that person and how much they missed them. That person is longed for, and they couldn’t feel it. They made what seemed to be the only possible decision in a moment of anguish, and it tore us all apart and it’s a sorrow that doesn’t heal. Please anyone who is in this place, you can’t feel love right now, I know that, but please, please, keep fighting just one more moment, until the next when you can reach out and are heard. You matter and you are loved. One day you will feel that again too.
