I say this because I recently had a situation like this and did what the guy did. Sometimes you realize that you’re not going to be moving forward and when feelings get involved it’s easier to cut ties before it becomes too hard.

Some men play mind games just like women. The tinder conversation was probably a ploy to get you feeling some type of way. If not, what’s the point of bringing it up anyway?

I also don’t see where you shot your shot in the original post. You asking to stay in contact the same day all this happened isn’t shooting your shot. Give it a few weeks, both of you should process your emotions then go reconnect with an open mind
