A New PS5 Model Has Appeared In Australian Stores

You’re right, but this stuff is understandably a little obtuse to wrap heads around since this is a more complex issue than supply & demand. Sony is meeting their sales and production targets, but that’s a separate statement than the fact Sony isn’t producing remotely enough to meet demand. They say the semiconductors aren’t why they’re short, which is true in the short term as they already have the chips to meet their target procured, it’s just that their target fell drastically short than real world demand. They’re unable to ramp up production because of the chip shortage, but will at least be able to continue making and exporting them at the same rate they are now. They haven’t been moving any slower than usual even with supply and Covid, they just can’t keep up.
