87% of American teens own an iPhone; 88% expect an iPhone to be their next phone

You think that all iphone users are ignorant?

So, as someone with a nearly 30 year career in tech as everything from a linux engineer to a software developer to cloud engineer, I use an iphone. In fact, I don't use any fucking google products other than their open source offerings like golang and k8s.

Google as a company is in business to do two things: sell ads and harvest data.

"oh but the data is all anonymized!"

So you've worked with the data sets that are available from google? I have. And if you count 'anonymized' as it was possible to figure out which school a loan applicant's children went to and which restaurants they regularly went to (re: determining socioeconomic status beyond what a credit score tells you, then sure, it's "anonymized."

Every single android phone sends data to Google regardless of the manufacturer. You're running android? You're harvesting data for Google.
