I knew someone that worked there and members can be pretty intense. She got screamed at often, a member threw a clipboard at her, a woman didn’t get into class so she flipped out and then proceeded to work out in the lobby and refused to leave... it’s customer service with a very intense customer base. I’m sure that varies by location and maybe just her experience. I used to do customer service for a music fest ticketing company. The yoga festival customers were the absolute worst. Metal fans, rock fans, country music fans... all fine. Yogis that didn’t get into the master class for the festival? Can’t log in? Absolutely screaming, crying, melting down at me over the phone. So pair all that with trying to hit sales numbers, it seems pretty tough! I’m sure again this totally varies by studio and owner. I don’t wanna scare any new SAs!
