There are definitely alot of streamers and youtube channels out there and other info to help you learn Smite. I hope these will help you get started.
Meta list
ADC: Xbalanque, Cupid, Artemis, Ullr and Chronos(In reality all the Hunters are viable with all pros and cons). Freya has been popular in the past.
Support: Geb, Athena, Guan Yu and Sylvanus. Ymir, Ares and Sobek are also good picks for more damage focused lane or as counters.
Jungle: Thanatos, Thor, Bastet, Arachne, Serqet, Hun Batz, Nemesis, Ao Kuang and Kali.
Mid: Janus, Agni, Scylla, Poseidon, Vulcan, Kukulkan and Nu Wa. Ra and Zhong Kui can work in mid and Anubis can be a deadly midlaner if he has a team to support him.
Solo: Hercules, Osiris, Tyr, Chaac, Vamana, Bakasura, Loki, Hades, Zhong Kui, Ra, Aphrodite, Hel and Chang'e. The healer mages are more about your team comp or stalling the lane and then supporting your team in the late game.
