It will either continue to just kill almost a million excess Americans a year every year until it mutates to a much higher mortality rate, or we lock down the country again, pay everyone $4000 to not leave their house for 3 weeks.

All other answers will result in Covid remaining endemic and worsening until the end of Society.

This will cause a new wave, as new variants are moving right now. Only a matter of time before the world that actively encourages new diseases come about will be hit with a REAL pandemic.
