It depends on the location and in some regards, who you run into that day and how stringent they are.

So far at the Woodbine location, everyone I've heard about has been asked to provide some form of proof to verify they are in a suitable postal code. I went the first day and they asked me to show ID with a postal code and asked every person in line. I did see them turn away someone who didn't have any way to prove a tie to a proper area code.

At a few of the others there have been mixed results. There were reports at Downsview that when it is not busy they will not check at all and anecdotally one of my friends got it there without being checked. The same applies at George Harvey - there has been stories that match up where when it is not busy, they don't check (another friend of mine went there last Monday and got it without being asked for postal code proof).

At this point, if you are 18+, you should be able to get something if you are motivated. Yesterday in Peel, the Islamic Community Centre of Ontario was giving out Pfizer to anyone from anywhere 18+, even if you didn't live in Peel. My brother (M postal code, non-hot spot) showed up and got vaccinated (essentially no line) and our friend came down from Guelph and got vaccinated - no questions asked.
