[No Spoilers] We should do something about the writers.

Look, spamming producers (and any othe account connected with the show) is what the oliciters have been doing for four seasons now, and as you see THEY have gotten what they wanted. First of all, I don't think Felicity or the whole engagement ring "will they, won't they" would still have been so prominent if Guggeheim/Mericle didn't want to believe that the most active social media fans represent the majority of viewers.

There are posters here who claim that Felicity/Olicity are still ENORMOUSLY popular and that everyone on FB etc. loves the direction of the show...everywhere else but on reddit (which in itself is incorrect, because most large discussion boards are heavily anti-Olicity/Felicity right now). However, apart from the usual stereotypical "We love OTA, Felicity, Olicity and they are the heart of the show" posts that oliciters write en masse on FB, there are quite a lot of critical voices, and anti-posts on the official web page as well. And if you check the replies to Guggenheim's tumblr, you'll realize that he must get quite a lot of asks that critique the current direction, among all the asks praising Felicity, Olicity and OTA. So, he can't be unaware of the backlash to the current poor writing.

I guess my point is that if ONE fanbase can use very organized, intense and targeted social media campaigning to get what THEY want, I cannot see why those fans who are dissapointed (and even disgusted) with what the show has become can't let their voices be heard. There is no need to be rude or slam specific characters/storylines to have an impact....you can tweet about the characters or storylines that you like and ask to see more of them. IF the producers/writers are as sensitive to social media feedback as many fans claim that they are, they are bound to register such positive feedback concerning characters and storylines that are NOT Felicity/Olicity-related as well. Again, the forum's Olicity fans might claim that such attempts are futile, since anything not related to their favourite girl/ship will get lost in the ocean of Felicity/Olicity love, but to me that seems almost like an attempt to silence those who want to break the Oliciter social media monopoly (if there indeed is such a thing).

They've had organized twitter campaigns for OTA (=Original Team Arrow), and in one ep they had the hallowed team together and THREE (gratuitous IMHO) mentions of the OTA/"Original Gangsters". Guggenheim made a special video with "The Fern Rises from the Lazarus Pit", which he dedicated to "the fans", although 90% of the audience didn't know about, or didn't GAF about the Olicity love fern. They hooked up Quentin and Donna "by popular demand", and those who like that couple are mostly oliciters, who will promote the hell out of anything connected to Felicity. There are many more examples of how Uncle Guggie have been happy to serve one fanbase just because they are incessantly spamming him on social media about what THEY want and like. In fact, I have never seen a show that (at least so it seems) has been so driven by
