I know I’m going to be downvoted because Reddit loves to hate on India. I am also not an indian government supporter but this lack of knowledge on vaccines is a big reason of the loss of life in India as several old people didn’t get vaccinated on time in February when it was being offered.

Covaxin, the “dubious” indian vaccine works on the age old principle of how vaccines work (inactivated virus) . Yes they might not be as effective as mRNA tech, but they are still effective. The phase 3 trials results are out. Any vaccine is better than no vaccine.

While I understand that the WHO nod hasn’t come (yet) the phase 3 trial results are out, you can read it in medical journals but lets stop vaccine hesitancy and hate on a vaccine just because its Indian.
