Now that the second coming isn’t coming, is anyone else REALLY concerned about climate change?!

Religions, like Mormonism, have delayed our actions regarding climate change. Instead of a rational approach, they induce inaction: Don't worry. God will fix it at the end - just have faith.

We may be able to buy some time while our technology (co2 capture, renewables, etc.) catches up. Here is one approach - add sulfates to the atmosphere. Here is a segment of a UC talk where global dimming effect caused by pollution is discussed.

I'm doing everything I can - solar panels, electric car, home garden, bike, and refuse to let go of optimism. I'm also coming to the realization that in spite of this, it could be too late to make the necessary changes. When the arctic ice melts by 2020, methane release will accelerate climate change, suddenly elevated temps, crop failures, positive feedback loop. There is no way to prepare for the time when our planet resembles Venus. This perspective allows me to live with intention. Don't sweat the little things.
