NSW: 172 new local and 3 overseas cases, 2 deaths reported; +24,859 vaccinations (27-Jul-2021)

Sydney can stop accepting international arrivals.

This is ridiculous. It's ridiculous that Australians cannot leave our country to visit dying relatives. It's ridiculous they cannot come back as citizens of this country (due to policies you're encouraging, BANNING inbound arrivals). Even NZ allows their citizens to leave and come back.

I genuinely think that diverting the majority of vaccines available in Australia to NSW is a mistake.

You did not say that. You wanted to focus on other states instead of NSW. And you said NSW isn't even trying. Read your own comment:

focus vaccinations on the other states, not NSW.

It's obvious NSW and VIC are going to have the most outbreaks due to the higher amounts of inbound arrivals they take. Most of your own state's arrivals come from NSW or VIC (most likely).

I'm not saying we should punish the NSW populous, it isnt an attack on them.

It is an attack IMO due to the reasons I stated. We are more at risk in Sydney and Melbourne being closer to hotels that have COVID positive arrivals (since they are required to be close to major hospitals).
