Are you high or something? I've already explained what a progressive tax system is and how it plateaus at around 400-450 thousand. The proposed increases would BE on that 1% earning over 2.1 MILLION. I literally spelled out all the numbers for you here.

Except I just got done explaining what kind of extra revenue comes simply from adding a new tax bracket of 45% to earners over 2.1 million. I just showed what revenue that would bring in.

Ok, let's take a look at that and see if it adds up: Total annual spending will increase by $2.3 trillion in nominal terms, growing from $3.5 trillion in 2014 to $5.8 trillion in 2024. Continuing on this path, we'll see $7.55 trillion in total annual spending by 2029, or an increase of around 350 billion per year. Your 1% would be 3.5 billion. That's a lot of money! Assuming government magically stops taking in less than it spends, let's addthis up over 15 years and see if it's 18 trillion:
So the first year: 350 billion cut.
Second year: 353.5 billion cut
third: 357
4th: 360.5
5th: 364
6th: 367.5
7th: 371
8th: 374.5
9th: 378
10th: 381.5
11th: 385
12th: 388.5
13th: 392
14th: 395.5
15th: 399

I like the idea of cutting 1% though that would never happen evenly. No, the cuts would come from things like NASA, or WIC, or Veterans benefits, or infrastructure, or social security and medicaid. Not the giant glaring spending problem with the military and the pentagon demanding they not be delivered any more jets and tanks and then getting more jets and tanks than ever before. We wouldn't ever cut that, because people like you, who call people like me "Bernie-ites" while believing total absolute asinine nonsense such as "cutting 1% from everything will fix it" keep voting for Republicans.
