Obtained classified DoD report on Chelsea Manning's Iraq/Afghanistan-leaks says disclosures were largely insignificant and did not meaningfully harm US interests. Almost directly contradicting claims of Manning's prosecutors.

My country is very complicit in aiding the US with all of this, as I've stated in other comment and as I said then it's not something I condone, it is something I protested. Like you correctly stated, those in charge do what they want regardless. You think this is about some sort of moral high ground? It's sad that peoples minds even go there, this isn't about that at all - it's about innocent people being murdered.

The "American problem" comes from the fact that you have somebody, a whistleblower, who actually released evidence of war crimes (the bravest thing anybody has done during this "war" in the middle east) and the majority of Americans just want to argue over weather or not she is a woman and over what classifies as "treason" (both these things lead to believe we are apparently stuck back in the middle ages?).

With her and her evidence the US had a chance to actually hold people accountable for their crimes. You - as Americans (and yes that is what I will refer to you as) - could have done something with this you could have forced the issue, she literally handed it to you on a plate. But hey, who cares about innocent civilians being illegally killed by the US when you can push bigoted views about gender instead?
