Yeah, I definitely wasn't claiming he's a high-tier meta unit in any circumstance.

Same can be said about Maid tho. But yeah I still think he is equally if not more dead than Maid is.

Not the same level as Maid. DJB is "fine but higher tier units will generally be a better job." Maid is "can actively hurt you if enemy drafts well." Enemy will happily let Maid through if you're foolish enough to draft her because she'll be feeding ML Haste massive shields etc.

DJB is a soft counter to a few meta units that dumps S3 then doesn't do much. Maid actively plays into the hands of the counters of one of the most popular units in the game (A. Vildred).
